VETERINARY DRUGS WITHOUT PRESCRIPTION - Fypryst 402 mg Solution for Dogs

Note: Please carefully read the attached instructions for use and storage conditions before administering this product.

We want to emphasize that medicines cannot be returned once purchased and can only be disposed of at a pharmacy.

Fypryst 402 mg is a reliable solution designed for instillation on the skin of dogs weighing between 40 and 60 kg. It effectively treats and prevents flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis) as well as tick infestations (Rhipicephalus species, Dermacentor species, Ixodes species). Additionally, it provides control over allergy to flea bites (flea bite allergies) and treats lice infestation (Trichodectes canis) in dogs.

Dosage Instructions: For dogs weighing 40 to 60 kg, administer one single-dose pipette containing 4.02 ml of the solution by instillation on the skin.

For dogs weighing over 60 kg, use one single-dose pipette with 4.02 ml of solution and a suitable smaller dose pipette to achieve the minimum recommended fipronil dose of 6.7 mg/kg.

As there have been no safety studies conducted for frequent applications, it is recommended to maintain a minimum interval of 4 weeks between each application. Monthly treatment is advised in high-risk situations of repeated flea infestation, presence of flea bite allergies, the need for tick infestation control, or regular use of hypoallergenic or softening shampoos during frequent bathing. In areas with lower risk levels of flea and tick infestation, a single application of Fypryst solution every two or three months is suitable.

Instructions for Use:

  1. Remove the single-dose pipette from the three-piece bag.
  2. Hold the pipette vertically and unscrew and remove the cap.
  3. Turn the cap upside down and reattach it to the pipette.
  4. Press and twist the cap to break the seal, then remove the cap from the pipette.
  5. Part the animal's hair between the shoulder blades to expose the skin.
  6. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and gently squeeze the pipette several times to empty the contents directly onto the skin.

Fypryst solution provides continuous protection against flea infestations for two months and offers up to four weeks of protection against ticks, depending on the degree of environmental contamination. Fleas are eliminated within 24 hours of infestation.

Recommendations for Correct Use:

  1. Ensure the medicine is applied in an area where animals cannot lick it off, and prevent animals from licking each other after treatment.
  2. Avoid bathing or soaking the dog in water within two days of administering the medicine, as the effectiveness of the treatment has not been studied under these conditions.
  3. Although emollient shampoos can be used before treatment, using them weekly after medication reduces flea protection to approximately 5 weeks. A six-week study showed no effect on flea protection when using a medicated 2% chlorhexidine shampoo.
  4. Dogs should refrain from swimming in bodies of water for two days after administration (see section 13). Individual ticks may still attach to the dog. In unfavorable conditions, there is a possibility of infectious diseases being transmitted through ticks. Non-engorged ticks will usually die and fall off the host within 24 to 48 hours of infestation. It is not possible to rule out tick absorption during the period of drug action after treatment.
