Enterol 250 mg ā Antidiarrheal Agent
Enterol 250 mg is a highly effective antidiarrheal medication designed to combat various forms of diarrhea in both adults and children. It is particularly beneficial for:
- Acute infectious diarrhea
- Treatment and prevention of colitis and antibiotic-associated diarrhea
- Adjunctive therapy with vancomycin or metronidazole to prevent relapse of Clostridium difficile infection
- Prevention of diarrhea related to artificial tube feeding
- Management of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
Composition
- Active Ingredient: Each capsule contains 250 mg of Saccharomyces boulardii.
- Other Ingredients: Lactose, magnesium stearate.
- Capsule Shell: Gelatin, titanium dioxide (E171).
Recommended Use
The recommended dosage for Enterol 250 mg is 1-2 capsules or sachets taken once or twice daily.
- For Capsules: Swallow with a glass of water.
- For Powder: Capsules can be opened, and the powder can be mixed into a drink, food, or baby bottle contents. To prepare an oral suspension, mix the powder with a glass of water or milk, and consume immediately.
Note: To reduce the risk of choking, it is not recommended for children under the age of 6 to swallow capsules. Instead, open the capsules and mix the powder with a drink, food, or the contents of a baby bottle, or opt for the powder form for preparing oral suspension.
