Help4skin Hydrocolloid Gel for Wounds - Carbomer stabilized with carnosine, a naturally occurring peptide in the skin. It is an effective solution for both dry and moist wounds, such as surgical wounds and abrasions. The gel has an occlusive effect for dry wounds and reduces fluid loss through the epidermis. For moist, oozing wounds, it absorbs excess fluid, cools, and softens the area of contact with the patch and/or dressing.
Composition:
The gel contains acid colloidal carbomer, carnosine, water, sodium benzoate, and potassium sorbate.
Usage:
Before and after applying the wound dressing, thoroughly wash your hands. The product is suitable for children above 2 years of age. For closed wounds, clean and disinfect the affected area and apply the preparation without touching the applicator tip. Use a bandage if necessary. For open wounds, clean and disinfect the treated area, then dry it thoroughly with sterile gauze. Apply a thick layer of gel (0.5-0.75 cm) to the wound without touching the applicator tip. Apply a patch or bandage and change the gel, patch or bandage at least once a day. Reduce the amount of gel when a scab appears on the wound. In case of burns, wash with water first, then proceed to the next steps. Do not use on the face, eyes, eyelids, or mucous membranes. Do not use if you are hypersensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients.
